Bluegrass Bible Fellowship is a local church consisting of people who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord (John 1:12, John 3:36, Romans 10:9, Ephesians 2:8-9). We meet simply around the person of Jesus Christ. He is the head of His church, and it is our supreme desire to please Him as individuals, as families, and as a local church. As our name implies, we believe the Bible is the inspired word of God and the primary source of divine revelation to man. We are committed to teach the whole word of God in the assembly and to obey the clear instruction it provides in our individual lives. We exist for the glory of God (Ephesians 3:21), and seek to glorify Him through worship, service, and evangelism.
“Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us, but to Your name give glory, because of Your mercy, because of Your truth.” Psalm 115:1
Worship
Our Lord instructed us to meet often to remember Him in the breaking of bread. We gather weekly for the Lord’s Supper to worship our blessed Lord Jesus (Matthew 26:26-30, 1 Corinthians 11:23-26, and Acts 2:42).
Service
Every believer in Christ has at least one spiritual gift, given by the Holy Spirit. These gifts are used in serving one another for the glory of God. We encourage every believer to use their gifts to build up one another in faith, to meet one another’s needs, and to spread the gospel for the salvation of souls (Romans 12:3-16, 1 Corinthians 12).
Evangelism
Jesus Commanded His disciples to go into all the world, preaching the gospel and making disciples (Mark 16:15, Matthew 28:19-20). It is our aim to proclaim the message of salvation by grace through faith in Christ alone as the only hope for forgiveness of sins and peace with God. We do this through personal evangelism, home Bible studies, and foreign missions.
